I still loved the first book far better, but this was still a fun read with my daughter.
I first found out about this book by picking up the February issue of Readers Digest while waiting at the dentists office. I was intrigued by the article, found and read the book. I found his points and the science behind them compelling. I had recently seen the documentary, "Fat Head", by Tom Naughton (which I highly recommend) and he said pretty much the same things. If you're open to a different point of view than what we've been told by experts for the past 50 years (as we've collectively gotten fatter and the Type 2 Diabetes epidemic has sky rocketed), then I recommend you read this with an open mind. I'm putting a new book, "Wrong" by David Freedman, on my list of books to read. It sort of fits in with all of this because the description is "Why experts keep failing us--and how to know when not to trust them."
